		<description>I frequently use the example of a fork to illustrate the some design items reach a plateau quickly and never are improved upon.
It may be that the latest eletronics is on such a plateau. Lately the changes to cell phones etc seem primarily cosmetic. Smaller, less power usage, nicer colors and so forth.
