Buy An Autographed Copy of The New Portuguese Table

September 11, 2009 posted by David Leite

The New Portuguese Table by David Leite

The book is finally out, and readers, Portuguese aficionados, and cooks have been asking whether they can get an autographed copy. Considering you’re scattered all over the United States, it’d be impossible to put together a book tour large and comprehensive enough to get to everyone! Instead, I’m offering signed copies through Leite’s Culinaria. Simply click the “add to cart” button below to order yours. Your copy will be shipped out within five business. Muito obrigado!

Note: At the moment, shipping is available to the United States and Canada. If you’re interested in overseas shipping, please contact us at sales@leitesculinaria.com.

Any chance get one signed and sent to Canada?

    • David Leite says:

Paul, I reconfigured the store to include Canada. So, yes, we can send them up north!

    David Leite,

I am married to a Portuguese lady and live in Australia. I worked in Angola, where I was introduced to the Portuguese pastelarias. The smells and the tastes! When I went to Portugal it was even better. Now we are in Australia, I am trying to learn how to create those same delicious sweet dishes in my kitchen. My wife can cook the savouries so sweets are mine! I imagine your book could help with that. I will try a few of the recipes you have on the site here. Is there any chance I can order the book to be sent here?

    Regards and thanks,

    Nigel

    • David Leite says:

Hi Nigel. Thanks for the kind words. The book does have a lot of desserts: some classic, a lot new. But all very Portuguese. We’re not set up to ship internationally at the moment, but I’ll check with my publisher to see if the book will be sold in Australia.

I’m Portuguese-born but fairly Americanized because I came here at the age of two, so I don’t know how to cook many of the Portuguese delicacies that my mother makes or that I have enjoyed at relatives’ homes either in the US or Portugal. Nonetheless, I love to cook and experiment with different foods, so I’m extremely excited to see a Portuguese cookbook!!! Unless you happen to live in an area where there’s a concentration of Portuguese people, you know nothing about us or our cuisine, So obrigada à vôce for bringing our wonderful food and culture to the rest of the world!

    • David Leite says:

Claudia, thank you for such kind sentiments. I’m very content with the amazing and warm reception the book has received from the Portuguese and Portuguese-American communities. It’s more than I ever could have asked for.

  4. Teresa says:

Hi, David. I came across your website by accident as I was searching for new ideas on Portuguese receipes. I am Portuguese-born but have lived in the States since I was 9 months old. I am fortunate that my mother and aunts cook Portuguese foods, and I am now recording their receipes so that I can pass them onto my children. Looking forward to purchasing your book.

  5. Sandra Cabral says:

Does this book come in Portuguese? I was thinking about buying one for my mother and another one for myself.
