Hurrah, KT! It's not every day you can satisfy someone who is both sick and vegan with a single dessert recipe. Our best wishes for a prompt return to health to your dessert-eater...

This is the first time I made this recipe & I used my small 4 oz white ceramic "french" ramekins and managed to get 9 individual cups out of the recipe. Also made it w/o the dark chocolate ganache for the topping. Our family prefers small servings on desserts & I rarely cook anymore so it was lucky I had the ramekins on hand.

A family member (a lacto-ovo vegetarian) happened to be ill and believe it or not wanted a diet of (1) jello (made w/agar instead of gelatin) AND (2) chocolate "pudding" (made as pots de creme and NOT corn starch). The jello could be made w/a vegetarian mix from the health food store but the pots de creme had to be made from scratch. Great recipe! Good thing I found it.

Hi Lena, use 8-ounce cups. They should be perfect for the recipe.

[Debbie White] These pots de creme deliver as advertised...cool milk chocolate custard hidden under a creamy warm dark chocolate ganache. They're smooth and elegant. Definitely top these with dollops of lightly sweetened whipped cream!
