[Tracy Hahn-Burkett] Wow—my husband and I bit into our turtle brownies at the same time, looked at each other with wide eyes, broke into smiles, and both uttered that single word. Everything about these brownies is fantastic. The brownie base is dense and chocolaty and doesn't even require the under-baking I use with most brownie recipes. The caramel-and-pecan layer is creamy and just sweet enough; the pecans provide sufficient neutrality and texture to keep the sugar from being too dominant. And the chocolate drizzle not only provides the perfect crowning detail but also makes the brownies look impressive. I will make these often. Bravo!

[Alison Hauser] This recipe for turtle brownies was great! Very rich, but very good. I couldn't stop eating them.

[Isabel Fonte] These turtle brownies were gooey and sweet and absolutely delicious! The brownie layer was very good on its own, and it melded perfectly with the caramel, pecans, and chocolate. These brownies got rave reviews from everyone who tried them. Be sure to keep them in the fridge, because of the goo factor. And be sure to use a spatula to get them out of the pan.

[Linda Linden] What can be better than chocolate, caramel, and nuts? The brownies were rich, delicious, and very attractive. When cutting these turtle brownies, keep in mind that a little goes a long way. The only problem I had was that it was a little difficult to cut them. I placed my knife into very hot water, wiped my knife off, and cut the brownies.
