[Lisa Seguin] These scones were light and very moist. The flavor is just perfect! Neither the onions nor the bacon overpowers the flavor—a perfect blend. Twenty seconds in the microwave reheats them just perfectly for the next day. My husband has been eating them for breakfast, and he's on the Atkins diet! Will definitely make them again.

[Matilda Luk] The biscuits were moist, tender, and quite tasty with a nice golden crust and subtle bacon flavour. The biscuits, hot out of the oven, had an irresistible smell and were super flaky and rich (but not too rich) tasting. It might be a good recipe to make if one needed something special to serve with a stew or soup.

[Dena Eran] Lovely light, fluffy and tasty scones. I cooked the bacon and onions in the one pan, greased the baking sheet with some of the bacon fat and then served them with a fine herb omelet made in the same pan...waste not want not. The buttermilk in these scones contributed to the great texture.

[Shelly Sinton] This recipe certainly fits the title Blissful Biscuit, the cookbook from which it appears. The golden color of these flavorful scones is eye-appealing. And the bacon and onion bits perfume through the tender crumb with every bite. They're dynamite for breakfast with a slather of strawberry jam and equally divine as an accompaniment to a hearty soup or stew. I've made more than one batch and have made my friends, family, and neighbors very happy.
