John Torode is an Australian chef and TV personality. In the 1990s, he moved to Britain and began working at Conran Group's restaurants. After appearing on the TV program "This Morning," he began hosting MasterChef on BBC One in 2005. He's a restaurateur and former owner of The Luxe and a second restaurant, Smith's of Smithfield. He's the author of several cookbooks including Beef, Relax It's Only Food, and MasterChef Kitchen Bible.
