Laura Washburn was born in Los Angeles and trained at the prestigious Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris. She's the best-selling author of eight cookbooks, and after recently acquiring an MSc in Food Policy from City University London, her focus has been teaching cooking and nutrition. Washburn lives in Muswell Hill, London.
