Sunday, October 18th KFWB 980 “Food & Wine with Chef Jamie Gwen”
I’ll be spending some time with the ever-charming chef Jamie Gwen, host of “Food & Wine with Chef Jamie Gwen” at 12:oo p.m. EDT. I’ve always enjoyed being on her show (this will be my third visit). We’ll talk about the book and, knowing Jamie, something deliciously fun. You can listen live or catch the show later in their archives.

Tuesday, September 15th Cheese Tasting, Murray’s Cheese, NYC
Come and sample a flight of six Portuguese cheeses and wines to match at Murray’s Cheese at 254 Bleecker St., New York, NY. The class begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until 8:00 p.m. $65.00. Click here for more information and to register. Saturday, September 12th Book Signing, Danbury, CT
I’ll be hosted by Borders Bookstore at 110 Federal Rd, Danbury, CT (203) 798-1100 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a discussion and book signing. Nibbles from the book will be provided.

Friday, September 11th WTNH-TV “Connecticut Style”
I’ll be in the kitchen with “Connecticut Style“ hosts Sonia Baghdady and Desiree Fontaine  sometime between  12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. demonstrating a few recipes. WTNH is channel 8 in the Connecticut/New York area.

Saturday, September 5th Book Signing, Washington, CT
Join me at the quaint Hickory Stick Bookshop at 2 Green Hill Rd., Washington Depot, CT (860) 868-0525 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. I’ll be signing copies of The New Portuguese Table and catching up with some old friends in the area. Nibbles from the book will be served.

Sunday, August 30th WBUR National Public Radio “Here & Now”
I’ll be a guest on “Here and Now” hosted by Robin Young. My interview, conducted by Kathy Gunst and held at the wonderful Portuguese restaurant Atasca in Somerville, MA, covers a lot of ground. We talked about growing up in a Portuguese home, my living in Lisbon while researching the book, and how the cuisine of Portugal has changed over the years.

Friday, August 28th to Sunday, August 30th Epicurean Classic, St. Joseph, MI.
At the Epicurean Classic enjoy three days of pure food and wine pleasure with 24 chefs, food writers, and wine experts. I’ll be conducting two demos: Simple, Easy, Fresh: The New Portuguese Table on the 28th at 11:30 am and Little Bites from The Portuguese Table on the 29th at 1:30 p.m. I’ll also be hosting a Guest Chef Dinner on the 28th at 6:00 p.m. at Port 412, located at 412 State Street. I spoke to the chef Tom Watson yesterday, and I discovered he’ll be using recipes from the book as daily specials all week long, as well.

Sunday, August 23rd Postponed Business Talk Radio “America’s Dining & Travel”
Listen in to my interview with host Pierre Wolfe about on Portuguese food and travel on his syndicated show, “America’s Dining & Travel.” I’ll be on live at 12:20 p.m. You can listen live or catch the show later in their archives.

Wednesday, August 19th Martha Stewart Radio
I’ll be on the program “Living Today” hosted by Mario Bosquez from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. I’ll be discussing my book, my time in Portugal, as well as chatting with Mario, Naomi, and Chris about the progression of the book—from idea to publication—which they have witnessed during the past year. You can listen online or via your radio.
