Cuddureddi. It means “a cause for celebration” if you’re from Italy. Well, actually, it means “a sort of doughnut.” Sorta the same thing.

About Fabrizia Lanza

Fabrizia Lanza is the author of Coming Home to Sicily. For most of her career, Lanza was an art historian and curator in northern Italy, but six years ago she returned to Sicily to help her mother, Anna Tasca Lanza, run her renowned cooking school, Casa Vecchie, at their family’s estate. After her mother passed away, she continued on with the help of those who’ve been a part of the estate for decades. Lanza resides at Casa Vecchie on her family’s estate, Regaleali, in central Sicily. @fabrizialanza
