About Joy Wilson

Joy Wilson

Joy Wilson is the voice behind the blog Joy the Baker. Her love for sweets was instilled early on by her pie baker father and cake decorator mother. Although Wilson may be obsessed with sugar and dark chocolate, her sweet tooth is balanced by savory cravings for all things soupy, french fried, and, occasionally, green. She honed her skills as a cake decorator working for Ben and Jerry’s and brings her passion for baking to her first cookbook, Joy the Baker. @joythebaker

Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies

A swoon-inducing collision of creamy cheesecake, cakey brownie, and sweetly tart raspberries. Sorta makes you want to stop reading and start baking, yeah?

Confetti Cookies

Cloudy with a chance of sprinkles. That’s our forecast for anyone who wishes to recreate the sugar cookies of their childhood.

Spinach Almond Pesto

A milder alternative to the classic basil pine nut pesto, this requires just toss spinach, roasted almonds, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and olive oil in a food processor and buzz until smooth. Ten minutes and you’re done.
