B. Shanly

Some of Barbara’s early food memories are helping her grandmother make and dry gnocchi and clean squid for Christmas Eve as well as watching her father make stuffed breads and homemade pizza.

For 30 years, Barbara worked in corporate America. When she was furloughed due to COVID, she decided to focus on her passions and officially retired.

Now she loves spending weekends in the kitchen creating dishes with ingredients she has in her pantry and refrigerator.  Also, she’s a volunteer at Foodology in Plantsville, CT, and thoroughly enjoys being around and encouraging teens who are incredibly creative in the kitchen.
