Bill Granger is a self-taught chef who inherited his calling from his family of butchers and bakers. He was born in Melbourne, Australia, and moved to Sydney for art school, though he soon shifted his focus from the easel to the kitchen. He opened his first restaurant, bills, at age 22 to celebrate the uncomplicated, laid-back cooking style he grew up with. He’s now the host of the Cooking Channel’s Bill’s Food and Bill’s Holiday as well as the author of more than a dozen cookbooks, including Simple Honest Food. @bill.granger
