Marcella Hazan

Marcella Hazan was known as the godmother or the Julia Child of Italian cooking in America. A late bloomer in the kitchen, she only learned to cook after she moved to New York in 1955 and had to figure out how to feed her food-obsessed husband Victor. She’s the author of half a dozen cookbooks, including the legendary Essentials of Italian Classic Cooking. She split her time between Venice, Italy, and Longboat Key, FL. @MarcellaHazan
