Jennifer Jacobs

Unquestionably, Jennifer’s passion for cooking is driven largely by a passion for eating! She’s self-taught–starting with dubious baking experiments around the age of eight. Her good fortune has allowed her to explore cuisines and grocery stores all over the world. She has a particular love of Japanese food, having lived in the country for five years. While there, she developed and taught international cooking classes as a medium for her students to learn English.

She cooks and bakes constantly, searching for that next big revelation in methodology or ingredient combination. Her favorite methods of cooking include sous vide and her much-cherished steam oven. Favorite ingredients would be tough to narrow down…can there ever be too much saffron or bacon in the world? She believes there are few foods that couldn’t be made better by the addition of chocolate or mayonnaise.

On a non-culinary note…she also believes in playing dress-up as often as possible. At least 30% of one’s wardrobe should be usable as a costume. It’s just fun.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Nutella Fudge

This incredible ice cream from tester Jennifer Jacobs has ribbons of Nutella swirled through peanut butter ice cream. Yes, it's every bit as divine as it sounds.
