The One and I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, so we got up early to make a video. Why we didn’t think to do this last week, when we weren’t rushed, I’ll never know. But at least you can see the snowfall through the windows on this white Christmas.
And if you’re curious as to the recipes we’re making for our Christmas dinner, here they are:
Gougeres
Beef Wellington
Braised Carrots with Orange and Rosemary
Old-Fashioned Potato Gratin
Hershey Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting (The frosting is from Epicurious, and we have adapted a million ways from Sunday. So I can’t give you an exact recipe.)
Now, we’re very curious as to what you making today. So comment below and send any pictures here. We’ll post them with your comments.
Very nice, Happy Christmas! A healthy and prosperous 2018!
Danke, Nora. And Merry Christmas and Happy 2018, to you, too!
Merry Christmas David, and the One!! Your menu sounds lovely. I just finished my dinner using your recipe for Standing Rib Roast, my own recipe for Cheddar Onion potatoes, steamed broccoli and Butter Sauteed Mushrooms. Loved the video, you lucky things to get a White Christmas!! Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas, Carole. Wow, what a dynamite-sounding dinner. The photos are amazing!!
Thank you!! Your website is amazing!
You bet, Carole!
Carole, your dinner looks delicious! And I, too, love a white Christmas.
Oh David, great minds….. We just finished Christmas dinner which included the oyster stew from the site. Traditionally, oyster stew is always served in Charleston during the holiday season at St Cecilia Society Balls. Their recipe, like The One’s, is a simple one (no pun intended) with butter, flour, cream, water and mace. This year, I decided to amp it up a bit and used our recipe. Wonderful! It was a perfect starter to a meal that included tenderloin, potatoes and veggies (I’m not Portuguese). Best wishes to you and The One on the merriest of days. xoxo Bun
Hey, Bun. Yes, great minds….I hope the whole Price clan had a wonderful and loving Christmas. I KNOW it was delicious, as I’ve had the pleasure of eating your amazing food! xox D
Beth, delicious and right up my alley. May I come to your house for Christmas next year? xo
