What are the benefits of Bone-In Chicken?
Sure, boneless chicken breasts are quick and easy to cook and make excellent homemade chicken strips. Bone-in chicken tends to get a little overlooked despite being a superhero protein choice. Here are a few reasons that I reach for that package of bone-in breasts instead of boneless when I’m at the supermarket.
- It’s forgiving. It does take a little longer to cook than boneless meat, but it also tolerates overcooking much better and won’t become tough or dried out.
- It’s budget-friendly. You’ll pay significantly less per pound for bone-in meat than boneless. And nowadays, that means so much to all of us.
- It has more flavor. The slower, more even cooking that happens with bone-in chicken results in tender, juicy chicken that packs a bigger wallop of flavor.
I don`t see any bone-in breast recipes here.Am I missing something?
