Deborah Wallace

Deborah Wallace was inspired as a child to learn to bake through eating the sweet treats that came out of her mother and grandmother’s kitchens. For years, as a self-taught baker she volunteered (practically demanded) to bring dessert to every gathering and loved to satisfy the sweet teeth of her family and friends. It wasn’t until well into her career creating training programs that she decided it was time to take the leap and head off to culinary school. So, she applied to the local professional culinary school’s pastry program, quit her job, and spent the next year learning to bake. After working in some professional kitchens, she returned to her previous career, continued bringing the desserts to gatherings, and started recipe testing for Leite’s Culinaria.
